Malibu Lagoon is a thriving marshland at the mouth of Malibu Canyon. There are plans to spend up to $12 million in 2011 to “de-water” and use bulldozers to radically re-contouor the area. This construction will kill or displace every fish, bird, insect and land animal that currently make Malibu Lagoon their home.
